MG Patricia P. Hickerson, USA-Ret.
MG Patricia P. Hickerson earned her undergraduate and master's degrees in music from Converse College and was commissioned in 1968. MG Hickerson served in a variety of administrative- and personnel-related billets in continental United States, Korea, and Germany, including being the admissions officer at the U.S. Military Academy, military assistant to the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Manpower and Reserve Affairs), and administrative assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. In 1991 she became the Adjutant General of the Army and later served as commanding general of the Soldier Support Institute; deputy chief of staff, U.S. Army Forces Command; and deputy chief of staff, U.S. Army, Europe. She recently was vice president of a corporation retained by the Department of Energy to conduct environmental remediation projects. MG Hickerson serves on the Board of Directors of the Military Officers Association of America, and as a member of the MOAA Educational Assistance Committee and the MOAA Scholarship Fund Board. She resides in Arlington, Va.
