VADM John B. Totushek, USNR-Ret.

VADM Totushek completed his 37-year naval career by serving as the chief of Naval Reserve and commander, Naval Reserve Force. VADM Totushek earned his undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Minnesota and pursued graduate studies at Old Dominion University and The Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University. As a civilian he was a senior executive with two national construction firms. Navy assignments included command of a fighter squadron and the Atlantic Fleet's logistics task force, deputy director of aviation warfare on the Navy staff, commander of Naval Reserve Readiness Command Eight, and director of environmental protection, safety, and health for the Navy. After retiring in 2003, he joined a global corporation that provides property location services; planning and research; and portfolio, property, and lease management. He directs its federal government practice. VADM Totushek serves on the Board of Directors of the Military Officers Association of America, and as a member of the MOAA Membership Committee. He lives in Arlington, Va.
